Private Lessons: Taught by our professional instructors generally during stick time for full-gear lessons and public sessions for general skate sessions.  For more information on a private hockey lesson call the Hockey Department at (916) 783-8550 x 114 or e-mail hockey@skatetown-roseville.com


Stick Times: This is a time where you can work on your skills without an instructor.  Cost is $10.  Full equipment is required, including a HECC approved helmet.  Players must read and sign a waiver.  No organized play allowed during stick time sessions effective March 1, 2008.  Remember to bring your own markless pucks (available in the ProShop for purchase).

Youth Bantam/Midget Level organized sticktime/scrimmages.  $10 each.  Signed waiver on file required or parent must sign waiver in the presence of a cashier.  No checking.

Drop In Hockey: This is an informal non-checking drop-in hockey game with no officials or supervision.  This is on a first come, first serve basis.  Remember to bring your own markless pucks (available in the ProShop for purchase).

There are 3 ways that you may make advance reservations for drop-in hockey:

  • Purchase a Hockey Voucher Card for $135 (10 for the price of 9).  You can sign up 4 weeks in advance if you have a hockey voucher card.  A 24-hour cancellation will be accepted.  

  • Call in on the day of the activity and give the cashier a credit card to be charged.  

  • Put money on a house account in advance (with a credit card or cash) to be used the day of the Drop In.

There is a limit of 24 players and 4 goalies.  Full equipment is required (shoulder pads, elbow pads, knee pads, gloves, hockey pants, and skates), including a HECC approved helmet.  All players must be 18 years or older, including goalies.  Players must read and sign a waiver.  Check Calendar for times.  Cost is $15 per player, goalies skate for free. Hockey Power Skating For all ages.  $10 Drop-in.  Wednesdays at 5:30-6:00 pm.  April 1 through end of August 2008.   


Instructors Skatetown has experienced professionals to instruct various levels of skating.  Our hockey instructors have been certified by USA Hockey in the specific methods of hockey skills, team instruction, and coaching.  Click for summary of our Instructors' Accomplishments
